GE Wind Energy
My roots are in a technical education at shopfloor in production. I had the opportunity to work in assembly but also in service to gain experience. Servicing Wind Turbines, I got field experience across various locations.
Utilising the opportunity, I concluded my master as electrician and in business economist. During this time, I changed to be a shift leader and finally to be the production manager in 2003.
In 2003 I began to convert production from stationary to a flow-oriented production. This was extremely unusual at the time and not available for similar sized products. I have been practicing lean management in a global company for 20+ years now.
The Salzbergen location is seen as a lean benchmark in GE-VERNOVA.
