2018 European Manufacturing Leadership Award Winner - Mario Naldini
Manufacturing & Supply Chain Director
Prometeon (ex Pirelli Industrial)
I am very honored to get this award! This award is not only for me but I would like to share it with all the people that worked together with me. This prize is for all the people that in these 26 years have collaborated with me. Therefore I want to share it with all the collaborators with whom in the course of my career I have shared hard work, enthusiasm, disappointments and results. They are more friends than colleagues and without them no success would have been possible!
When I received the announcement of the award I immediately thought of my family who had the patience to follow me around the world from Europe to China to Brazil, sacrificing themselves to allow me to continue my work and my career. I thought a lot about my father, who was also an engineer and a manufacturing manager, who unfortunately died when I had just started university. I would have liked to be able to tell him about this award and to share it with him so that he could be happy and proud of me.

2017 Rising Star Award Winner - Luca Cesarini, World Class Manufacturing Manager - Maserati
Rising Star Award Winner - Luca Cesarini, World Class Manufacturing Manager - Maserati
My Name is Luca Cesarini, born Viterbo, Italy in 1987. My work experience in Maserati Modena started in 2012 in the HR office and later moved to Product Marketing where I was responsible for the product grid of Maserati Quattroporte. Later, I moved to the Manufacturing area and I reaffirmed my interest in lean production and world class manufacturing, being WCM Manager and Handling and Logistic Engineering. I was involved in the WPI of the new Jeep in the Belvidere plant (USA) and was responsible for the unification of the assembly line of Maserati Granturismo and Alfa Romeo 4c (first plant with 2 different marriage of engine). In 2017 I participated in the discovery channel TV program “supercar” for a special episode on Alfa Romeo 4C production. I’ve spent years abroad as a footballer (professional football player in Brazil, Thailand, Jordan, Philippines and Maldives). My extensive traveling experiences has offered me opportunities to adapt to new environments. I have learned how important it is to be flexible, use my own resources and get the best out of your team mates to achieve the goals.
